Fifth Annual Seminar on Planning and Biodiversity

The Firth Annual Seminar on Planning and Biodiversity was held on Thursday, 10 September 2009. It was organised by the Suffolk and Norfolk Biodiversity Partnerships, in collaboration with the Association of Local Government Ecologists (ALGE), and hosted by South Norfolk Council. The seminar attracted over 50 participants, and was designed to:

  • Provide an overview of the latest developments and best practice related to spatial planning, development control and biodiversity.
  • Provide practical experience in applying a biodiversity checklist appropriately during planning decisions and use of the 1 App standard application form.
  • Foster an exchange of experience among local authorities in Norfolk and Suffolk with regard to biodiversity issues within development control and LDFs.
